Barrett Johnson

Barrett Johnson, MSW, LCSW, is Program Director for Program Development at the City and County of San Francisco’s Human Service Agency. In this position, he provides leadership for many of the program improvement initiatives at the Family and Children’s Services Division. These include Continuous Quality Improvement, policy, training/workforce development and outcomes and accountability. Previous to his appointment in San Francisco in September of 2014, Mr. Johnson served as Director of In-Service Training at California Social Work Education Center at the UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare. In that capacity, he provided leadership for CalSWEC’s coordination of statewide training efforts in child welfare, including development and implementation of statewide Common Core training, and strategic planning for a statewide training evaluation system. He also led CalSWEC’s efforts to foster evidence-based practice in child welfare, and to address disparities in the child welfare system. In his free time, Barrett enjoys traveling and skiing.
