Sylvia comes to San Francisco from Riverside County, where she was Assistant Director for five years. Although Sylvia didn’t always know that she wanted to work in child welfare, she knew she wanted to work with people, and children in particular. She graduated from UC Riverside with a bachelors’ degree in psychology. She soon realized that she could spend her timing helping children and families in the field of child welfare and hasn’t looked back. She now has over 25 years of experience in the field of child welfare and it has been a rewarding journey.
